That's what makes a good judge, in your opinion?

My opinion is it has nothing to do with benefits and everything to do with further separating society from Christian ideals. If it wasn't they would be happy with civil unions or partnerships and you wouldn't have some private businesses forced to cater to them against their beliefs. It's agenda driven the same way racism is , these days. They want forced embracing of their lifestyle not just acceptance.

This is nothing more than a civil union. That is all it is if two heterosexuals go to the courthouse and get a judge to marry them. But, they call it marriage too. What about common law marriage, that is legal for heterosexuals.

Again, what this opinion did was force the state to issue licenses for civil unions, the word marriage is used because it is the common vernacular.

A private business or church can not be forced to perform a gay marriage. But, they can be forced to provide the same benefits to gays and they do to others.

Let me ask you this. Where did the concept of marriage come from? Is it not in essence biblical in its origin? Does the definition of marriage biblically defined specify that it is between a man and a woman? Was marriage not originally a Christian process that was later sanctioned by governments around the world?

My point is this. Marriage from its root is a Christian practice that the federal government chose to observe. I don't really give a flying fuk what gays do.....as long as it does not affect others. That is the basis for every law in this country. You can do whatever you want as long as it does not interfere with the rights of others as defined in our constitution.

I don't care if gays have a federally recognized coupling that allows them tax benefits, etc. What I do care about is the government ruling that their rights are more important than mine. Which is exactly what is happening. Marriage is mine as a Christian. It is not the governments to define.

Marriage is not yours as a Christian. That is an ignorant, uneducated stament. Marriage existed long before Christ. By your way of thought, Jews, Muslims, Hindus or or non believers couldn't marry.

Bullshit. I said it was defined by God. Heck, he defined it when he made a man with a dick. He also defined it in the old testament, where those jews and muslims spring from. But I'll go with your thoughts. In the jewish, muslim, etc religions. Marriage is between a man and a woman. Why the hell would a queer have the right to trample on all these different religions then?
