Marriage predates Christainity. People of all religions and no religion have marriages. Marriage is NOT an exclusive Christian ideal.
Your premise is that man gets to define marriage and that man is the ultimate authority on how our society is governed. If we aren't a nation governed by biblical principles then we are a nation subject to abandonment by God. First, our government made it lawful to kill unborn babies because it's a woman's "right". Now we want to corrupt God's definition of marriage and call it a "right". The argument about it being like segregation is not valid. Segregation is not a sacred, God created, biblical tradition. We all have to choose what kind of society we want to live in. It isn't about denying rights. It's about recognizing the ultimate giver of all rights. Some acknowledge it as God and some choose to elevate man to the status of the ultimate authority.
