Didn't do any good, though. Unfortunately, this issue has become a court/civil rights matter. That is where it will remain, even if the USSC becomes solidly conservative over the next two or three presidential terms. This is a federal republic with three government branches. The judiciary is one of them, as determined by the founding fathers.
