Not Southern Zone, but my wife and I went trail running near Hollis Cross Roads in Cleburne Co this morning and came up on this dead buck. Smallish 7pt, I think he might've been hit by car, but he is about a mile from any public road. His back hips seemed broken. Couldn't really tell, but there wasn't any apparent bullet hole.

Being here since daylight at Lowndes wma. Seen more ppl than deer... 3 shots no more than 100 yards from me. Saw one deer run so idk if they missed or what. Heard about 10-12 shots total so someone is seein deer. I have my bow and my 270 with me. An armadillo can in to ten yards and he got swhacked. That was fun. First time shootin an animal since November 16th. Gonna set till dark maybe one of my buddy's will get lucky

bigt that's as good as can be. how far is the rd in the 2nd pic top left corner To be honest I am not positive. I would say 300+yards but I am going to take my rangefinder tomorrow to see for sure because I saw a,few deer cross there this morning.
