The courthouse makes you just as married.
Not in Ol' Hi-Jackson. Jackson County Probate Judge stopped doing marriages last week. So if you wanta marry yer boyfriend or girlfriend at the courthouse, you'll have to head South, not happening up here in Hillbilly land.

There is no such thing as a former homosexual. Just as there are no former black or white people. You are born just that way. Born that way? Does that refer to identical twins as well? A situation where 1 is gay and 1 is not? If it's truly genetic and " born that way" both twins should be gay, Right? Identical twins are always genetically identical, homosexuality cannot be genetically dictated. �No-one is born gay,� �The predominant things that create homosexuality in one identical twin and not in the other have to be post-birth factors.

This agenda is not about freedom and equality. It is not about fairness. It is a group that is determined to force everyone to accept their lifestyle as normal, and it is anything but normal and natural. If it were, there wouldn't be medical problems particular to homosexuals. I'll bet a paycheck the two women who moved here from California did so to get one more state to accept gay marriage. I wouldn't be surprised to see them move back to California now their goal has been met. They claimed they wanted to be married to get health insurance for a nonworking partner, to be able to pass on inheritances after death, etc. These things were already available to them, but, again, that isn't their real goal.

just remove government from marriage. done. I was typing a long reply but this was my main point. Untie the benefits granted to those by government for being married and that pretty much gets govt out of it. It would be tricky and I doubt that will ever happen.. I guess I fall into the I don't give a dang if gays marry category. Doesn't affect me. Anybody looked around lately? Lots of worse things happening that really impact the community you live in.

do i support the sexual practice of homosexuality? absolutely not, no more than i would support the practice of adultery, or fornication, or robbery, or thievery.
but if the government (federal, state or local) decides not only that the practice of homosexuality is legal, but that practitioners may gain formal government approval for it through "marriage," there is nothing you or i can do about it other than protest, defeat those who approved it in election, and press for a change in the law - and the Supreme Court.
and we believers in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior must remember what Jesus Himself said about government: obey the law, because those who are in charge, are in charge at His behest. this is a hard, hard teaching ...
I think the actual scripture says to obey the laws as long as they aren't at odds with God's laws. You are absolutely correct that no leader is in power without God allowing it and all their actions will work together to fulfill God's perfect plan.
