I have got some MBNA Bass Pro points that I have to spend by the end of March or I will lose them. They equal about $130, so I was considering spending it on a new Rod/Reel Combo.
Any suggestions for a multipurpose rod/reel combo?
My current favorite bait casting reel is Abu Garcia 5500C3.

If you were planning on putting some money with it I would go with a Calcutta if not Shimano Curado is a fine reel and they usually come with a rod as well.

I bought one of those BPS combos while I was over in Atlanta a few weeks back. They were on sale for something like $54. For the money, I don't think you can beat'em. The real is a 7 bearing system and I've enjoyed mine.
