Just got bit by a mosquito on the last day of deer season!! One got me Thursday lol it was 59 degrees!

I didn't see squat...I'm glad season's over! Personally, this has been one of my worst seasons in 20 years of hunting (as far as seeing deer).

Around 7 hours in stand today in two different counties and not one elusive Alabama whitetail was spotted. I did have a rabbit run in on me at very last light after I had gotten down from the tree.

Moody, this property is tightly enforced and technically, hunting with a dog is prohibited in the county I'm hunting.
Trust me it is not an option. It is illegal to deer hunt with dogs in the majority (all?) of N. Bama. This is just one or two folks overly-strict/cautious reading of regs. As long as that is the interpretation on using tracking dogs wounded deer will be needlessly lost on RSA.

Not the last weekend down here, we still have till Feb 22 with rifle and the 28th with muzzleloader, but my stepson shot his first deer. He did a great job. I think I was more excited than he was.
