Just had a flock of robins fly in. They are picking ever tree and It sounds like it is raining. Tree rats, birds of ever type but no deer. Still a great day!

He is a tough buck. I'm going to hunt the area the rest of the day, but I think his shoulder swallowed that slug. Merely a flesh wound.

We've had a great day so far. Been at since 5:30 and the bucks were moving before daylight and still were around noon. We took a two hour lunch break and back at it huntin food plots this afternoon. I've see more deer this year at our place than the last three combined. Came close to pulling the trigger on a nice one this morning but a good shot placement opportunity never presented itself. All I needed was one more step but that's huntin. Good luck everybody this afternoon!

I should be able to be in the woods by 3:30...the question is where to go..we have not seen any deer in over 3 weeks...try to hit a foodplot,roadway or back to the hardwoods where I started the year at....

Sitting on th ground where a thick swamp connects to hardwoods and a wheat field, got the .410 for squirrel and rabbits and the rifle for deer and yotes. Congrats to the killers and goodluck to everyone else!

Don't think his shoulder could take a slug but it could have grazed him. In my opinion if he stopped and ate; he isn't hurting too bad. Also depending on how long he was stopped that's not much blood. Again, this is only my opinion and I would much rather you find him! Good luck

Hunted this morning and had a 6 point come hauling arse under my tree that was spooked by cows. Tried everything in my power to stop him with no luck, wanted to sling an arrow bad. The lady brought the bird dog down to the farm so I called the evening hunt a no go. Going to selma for the last hunt of the yr next weekend. We will see what happens. Yall knock em dead this evening

I lied. Took care of some duties that needed doing and found some time to sneak to a natural pinch point/hardwood knoll at the farm. Squirrels are already driving me crazy and the deer sign is heavy. And I'm wearing short sleeves. Good luck again everyone  .

Sitting in ladder stand in pine thicket. Could be a good afternoon if some dumbarse will quit shooting every gun and every bullet he has. I promise he has shot 200 times!!!!!!!!!!!
