Did he see which way the deer ran when he shot it? 90 yards ain't that far to have to walk to recover a deer without a dog.


Yes be did, but 85 of those yards were through head high briars in a very thick clear cut. Trust me it aint easy finding one in that kind of stuff whe you have nothing to track. Doing it in the dark is darn near impossible.

I have litterally walked within feet of dead deer and not seen them.
