Officials at the Internal Revenue Service spent a large amount of time trudging up to Capitol Hill in 2014 so that various Republican committee chairmen in the House of Representatives could berate them over the targeting of some conservative not for profits in the run-up to the 2012 election. It seems likely theyd have preferred to fly under lawmakers radar in the 114th Congress. The IRS hires the same contractor that bungled the Obmamacare website????? If thats what they wanted, spending more than $4.5 million to hire the same contractor that botched the rollout of the Healthcare.gov website in 2013 probably wasnt the best move. Hiring CGI Federal to provide critical functions related to the further implementation of the Affordable Care Act, was practically asking for a Congressional investigation http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/taxes/irs...lout/ar-AA8wEbb

They got away with targeting conservatives and conservative groups, so there's no reason for them to fear a Congressional investigation. They did get their budget cut, but they've turned it around and made things harder for the public. I would be ashamed to be a Congressman after being punked like they were by Lois Lerner and John Koskinen. I seriously hoped to see someone wipe the smirk off of his face during the hearings, but it didn't happen. Unfortunately, the GOP hates the Tea Party worse than they hate Democrats, so they only gave a token punishment for what was clearly Unconstitutional activity. I don't know if it's legal or not, but it should be a law that any federal employee invoking the Fifth amendment should immediately be terminated and lose their pension.
