I had 30 of these made out of weatherproof composite material. The only lumber are 4x4 posts and two 2x4s for the ladder. Even the rungs are composite.
If you don't mind my asking how much did it cost to build these and where can I get the materials?
They cost me $450 each but I heard he now gets $650. The guy who builds them is plant mgr at NyloBoard in Covington, GA. They make composite lumber from recycled carpet and fiberglass. It's tough stuff. The guy gets all the scrap free so he has almost no overhead in the build. Shoot me a PM and I will give you his phone number.
