^^this^^. We did this to a large field we had and deer sightings went up drastically. The deer started using the bush hogged strips a lot earlier in the afternoon and feed right into the bigger field. We'd cut the grown up stuff about every other year in early Spring, to keep it from getting out of hand but still have time to grow up some.
