This. I have both the 20V Lithium drill/impact combo and as well as an older 18V Ni-cad drill/Impact combo.I use them both daily at work and for all my projects. I will say I like the 20v for certain things because it is compact and light weight but it wont touch the run time for prolonged use that my 18v ni-cad has. If im drilling steel or doing a project that requires more than 5-10 minutes of steady use the 20v LI is worthless. I break out the old 18 for the tougher jobs.

Theres a reason the "old technology" 18V combos will set you back a few more dollars than the 20V sets. They are better, plain and simple.

The above item it like my older one except I have the full size extended run batteries.

The 20V may be more than you will ever need, just offering advice as I have and use both extensively.

You can catch the 20v combo on sale at lowes pretty regularly for 149 and 199.00, I gave 149 for mine.
