Dang, that mount looks like they put horns on a calf. But what a set of horns!
Funny thing is, my grandfather cut the rack off and had it hanging in the barn for a few years, a taxidermist in the area heard about it and mounted it for free if my grandfather would let him use it in some taxidermy competition. Seems like I remember him telling me the guy won. I know it's hard to believe with the way the mount looks, but it probably wasn't a bad one back then. I plan on using a cape off a buck I kill one day to have it redone, I just keep putting it off because I'll be worried the entire time it's gone from my house.

That is the best Washington county buck I have ever seen.
I used to blame my lack of a big buck collection to Washington county...guess I need to find another excuse. Yeah its a fine one! The best one I've ever seen was upper 140s came from around mt.Vernon Thanks! I had 2 people measure him and got a 141" average. Lol! I've seen deer come out of the swamp in Wash. Co. that were as big or bigger but for a sand ridge, piney woods buck he is freaking awesome in my book.

I don't follow rules well either. Marengo County. Jawbone aged at 8+  Jackson County last January.  Jackson County about 4 years ago.

The first picture is my best Bama buck and it was killed in December of 2013 in Macon County.  [/img] The second one is my grandfathers biggest buck and it was killed on the same piece of land in 1994 on opening day. I was a baby when he killed it, but it hangs in my room today with all my trophies.  [/img]
