Very political is an understatement. It's been about 7 years now since I've been in it but it wasn't the best for deer sightings but it was also far from the worst. After being in it for almost a decade we had enough. I would not rejoin for the amount they charge vs deer sightings and I have been told it took a turn for the worse after we left.
