Killed on 12/19/14, 180lbs, 70 yards out .270, late afternoon in a light drizzle. Had 8 doe in the field. He came out with about 5 minutes of shooting light remaining

Congrats on the first kill. I bet you put him on the wall. I wish to goodness I would have mounted the first buck I ever killed. I didn't have the money at the time, and he got lost in the shuffle. The first one is always the most meaningful.

European mount is on it's way to go above fireplace in living room.. Many have told me I'll never forget the first - I have replayed the hunt in my head about 1,000 times so I can understand why!
