So I decided to do a before/after with my deer. Now I didn't take time to really setup an ideal pose and the effect is more dramatic (more deceiving) if you don't have something (like my mantle) in the immediate background to give more scale, but you still get the idea. holding deer beside me, about 6 ft from camera:  now, "long-arming" it with the deer about 2 feet from the camera and me as far back as possible:

He's long arming that joker though! Haha One of the worst cases of it I've seen.

You need to get a 5x8 frame for that picture on the mantle. I figure that size will allow you to cut your ugly ass out.

Using a quick calculation, if his head is 9" wide from temple to temple, the deer has a 45" spread. Where have you ever seen a whitetail deer with a 9" wide head? I was referring to the man's head, proving how ridiculous the scale is on the picture. Using the deer's head, which is in the same plane as the antlers, would give a more appropriate estimate for the spread. You know a man with a 9" wide head? Well....we do have YEKRUT for a scale... Wth, how do I get brought up in this crap all the time?
