When I was in college, I drove up to Northeast Indiana to visit my girlfriend the week between. Christmas and New years. The high one day was 0........
In highschool, a buddy of mine and I drive down to his land in Batesville, MS. Couldn't get into their camp house so we decided to sleep in our trucks. It got down to the low teens that night. We both slept in full hunting gear but still nearly froze. I'd let the truck run for about 5 minutes with heat blowing full blast, then cut truck off (so as not to die from CO buildup) and sleep for about 30 minutes until I woke up freezing. Then repeat. Longest. Night. Ever.
