I have never really dog hounted. It does seem to be a more proactive approach to deer hunting. Instead of climbing a tree and waiting to see what comes by. I guess my only real concern is shooting at a running deer. I have rabbit hunted over dogs and the rabbits are running mostly when you shoot them. If running dogs for deer hunting is similar. I better understand the sport.
