Unfortunately Skyline doesn't have another rifle hunt scheduled until 9 Jan.

on my way home yesterday I saw three dead bucks on 65 just south of Clanton.
Usually a good indication they are getting stupid. One of the bucks was a good eight pointer.

Not sure about the Flatrock area, but I think it's roughly the same time. There's a pocket of deer in lower PRV that peek breeding is more towards the middle of Jan.

Any new updates on New Year's activity. I'm seeing some photos online if deer getting killed further south that appear to be rutted up pretty good.

Deer have disappeared in the Selma area. Sure shot places for deer sightings have yielded no results past 2 weeks. Pre rut lull???

I thinks it's over here in Bibb Co. No rubs or scrapes in about 2 weeks, no deer activity seen or heard while in the stand. Had a doe by herself in a food plot on the 21 and the 30.

Ventured into the lower delta WMA yesterday and there were a ton of fresh rubs & scrapes. Guess that means that BigT's bears will be on fire any day now.

Same thing in northern Washington County. And those geniuses said that the rut doesn't happen until February down here. smirk
