Opinions differ about aging venison. Several butchers have told me deer meet has less moisture in it than beef and aging does little for deer.
I concur. Let me be clear, you arent "aging" venison with the cooler draining method. You are doing just that, draining it. It will get all the blood out and turn light pink/white if you do it right, especially deboned.
