Columbus and west point has few clubs more private land and public land. there is good hunting in Monroe county toward Aberdeen and Hamilton but I live near state line so pickens/lamar county is just more convenient. plus ive come to point where I like to get couple does for meat first of bow season then im hunting wallhangers from then on and the closer you get towards the soybean and corn fields the bigger bucks get. pickens al/ Noxubee county ms. but from my experience its near impossible to find openings around those areas because of that.

I know what you mean I would love to hunt around those soybean/cornfields or for that matter just somewhere that is not 99% pine trees but from what I understand that area is almost all private and pretty much locked down. Good luck on your search hope you find a good place.
