I lost both my grandparents to cancer. I hate the word cancer. Sorry for your loss.

Prayers sent and I'm sure she's looking down on you. The big "C" took my mother in 2007 just 1 month after she turned 60. Lost my dad 2 years earlier 1 month before he turned 63. Oddly enough both were lost during the holiday season so it makes this time of year hard because they loved Christmas with the grand kids but then I think of how much they enjoyed the kids and I know they are looking down on all of us with love. This is the 1st Christmas since 2011 that I haven't been battling "it" and I am convinced it is the first of many!!

Yes cancer sucks. I lost my mother to it this summer, lost my father to it 25 years ago. I am sorry for your loss, prayers for peace coming your way

Thank you for the sweet comments and messages! We are going to have the celebration of her life after Christmas so I won't be hunting this upcoming weekend but will be in Vegas visiting family and remembering the life of a beautiful woman!

Heaven gained an angel yesterday. Grandma "Duck" lost her battle with breast cancer last night. She was an amazing person who always encouraged us to try new things because life is too short. She told me this summer how proud she was of me for sticking with the whole hunting thing - ha! I love and will miss her!
Please say a prayer for my family! Sorry for your loss. Payers sent!
