I'm looking to get in a better pair of boots. I'm a leather guy...just don't care for the rubbers. I spend a good bit of time walking hills and crossing a few creeks/ springs. So I need waterproof/lightweight boots. Insulation is not a big deal to me since my feet stay hot from the frequent movement. So what are you wearing? What do you like about your boots? Dislikes? Price range?
Thanks

I'm partial to the ll bean boots. I've got a pair I've had for several years. They still look good as new. Anything else I've ever tried has fallen apart in a year or two.
We will burn that bridge when we get there

I've noticed the past couple of years "through research" that the socks and blood flow matter as much as the boots. I use a polyester base followed by a thin cotton and then a thick wool blend with any boot that's plenty big and feet stay warm.

If I still used leather boots, it would be the original style Danner's. I moved to rubber boots exclusively, and the old school Danner's have moved into an upper class price range.
But they are good boots that last forever.

I've got a pair of old Cabelas Mountain hunters that have been to TX., NM (twice),AK, and made more deer trips to Bama than I can count. With no sign of giving up. Also have some of their zip up snake boots.
