That is a nice breakdown over a 10 year period, and the price per pig does seem very economical after 10 years. The only problem I see is that if you assume he catches 100 in year 1 and catches 100 a year through year 10, he probably needs to try a different approach because he isn't really putting a dent in the population. You would hope to see an exponential decline in hog population over a 10 year period if your method was truly effective. That is the problem. You don't. Even if you remove let's say 80% you are still going to have a few sows that have litters and you have to catch them. And of course there is the size of the property. I don't think I have had anyone buy a trap from me that has less than around 900 acres. And most have multiple properties. But, you are correct, it was an estimate.
