The Mathews girls, I mean cheerleaders will say Mathews and everything else is loud, slow and unreliable(I kid). There are numerous threads here on this topic. It all comes down to price and feel for You. I shoot a PSE, b/c my best friend sells them. I like the feel of the Elite. TCHunter loves Bear and they have excellent customer support. Determine your price range and go shoot all of the major brands and don't just go to BPS.

Shoot em all. I picked the Hoyt Carbon Spyder. The Mathews Chill R w/rock mods and Elite Synergy were a tie for second. I didn't shoot the new Bowtechs but I hear they're good shooters. I've just never been a big fan. There's a ton of them out there and you really can't go wrong. Just find whatever feels good to you.

I shoot a hoyt(a very used 9 year old bow)been shoppin around and the bowtech rpm 360 is the hardest shooting bow ive ever shot, so if u need kinetic energy and half way decent price there u go, new hoyts are nice but waaaay over priced (shot nitrum and spyder.2015 bows nice but not 1400 nice) mathews shoots great but as with all brands youll find lil tid bits wonkey on these as well, creed has rock solid back wall buts is a bit forky and to be new technology is not much faster than ma worn out hoyt, chillr is faster but back wall is mushier and its more forky, both short axel bows that do shoot very well. Shot some new breeds, they make a nice bow and so does strother(strother shot very well found no problems and decent price). I myself cannot decide,so much to choose from. So ima grind another season outa my poor, old, slow, paint chipped, needs bushings, may fall apArt tomorrow, super reliable never let me down still does work for me, killed more than i can keep up with hoyt bow. Ye haw, shootem all brother, decide and make ur own choice, wheew, i needa drinka water now;)

Wrist shock, or what i like to call tunin fork syndrome, you now like whackin an aluminum bat against a light pole( dont do that, it hurts), to me u feel it more in these newer speed bow designs its not bad and u can live with it its just erksome to maself

Agree you have to shoot and see, however I do give a big thumbs up to Bear for Customer service. I bought my son a used bear apprentice 2 that was missing the lower quiver attachment. I contacted Bear to see if I could purchase one and they immediately asked for my address and sent me the whole thing out free of charge. My next Bow will be a Bear!!

Top of the line is overrated. I killed more deer with an old McPherson bow shooting aluminum arrows than I have with my newer set-up. Speed means nothing if you can't get close to them and stay quiet.
