Hunting Wheeler this morning. Set up on a road bed with trails crossing and couple scrapes. Running a little late due to just pulling a 12 hour shift. Good luck everyone.
It is hard to kill or catch anything sitting on the couch!

I'm in a pine/hardwood transition in a swamp. It's thick as the hair on a dogs back in here. I left the hoyt at home this morning and brought my longbow.

Setup on an hardwood ridge with thick 6 year old pine thicket to one side and hardwood bottom and branch to right. Lots of trails through here. Good luck.

Setup at Cahaba in a pine thicket valley that funnels into a hardwood shelf. Seen a big 8 passing through a few days ago. Lots of doe traffic. Pushed a solo walking in. Hopefully that wasn't the 8 I'm after.

I was at Wheeler for a few hours, but got called in to work. Didn't see anything, but I'll be back at the spot I saw that 6 pt yesterday. Hopefully I can see if he's around tomorrow.

Im set up in a hardwood creek bottom. Already seen 7 bucks and 11 does. Missed a huge 8pt at 9:15. Rangefinder battery must be getting weak because it is giving me all kinds of crazy readings. Should have trusted my instincts on how far he was. Had 3 big 8pts a small 8pt a 3pt and spike come in together. Maybe ill get him next time.

Wheeler federal gw are not gonna leave the office .. I've been hunting for 25 yrs out here been check 20 or more times by gw always state gw... Lowrey is a great gw ..
The federal gw never get out .. Hell they don't even grade the roads .. I wish I could get one of those jobs ..
