I don't hunt skyline, but our property borders it. I've never understood why it's not a better management area to hunt, other than the obvious…too many gun hunts, no restrictions on buck size/ age (in the area that borders us and just recently in the other area), lack of habitat management. It does seem things are starting to change for the better but for years it was abused and mismanaged. As good as Jackson Co. has been over the past 15 years, Skyline should be top 5 mgt areas every year. Trigger control seems to also be a major problem. I'm hoping hunters are making better choices on what they shoot now, but for years it seemed like 95% of the bucks killed were yearlings.

also agree with CD…people seem to appreciate things in life more when they aren't free. a few bucks for WMA permits would go a long way.
