I've been curious about that as well. I'm assuming it has something to do with either poaching or disturbing wildlife in the off season, but I don't know.
Taking Black Warrior as an example, are the two special hog hunts, plus the deer hunts on Zone A, enough to keep them in check, or is the area biologist and others having to trap at other times as well? If trapping is needed, why choose that option over extending hunting seasons on them?
