Find a spot off the beaten path in the woods. Preferably a big hedge bush. Cut just enough out so that you can pull it in and the limbs cover you from the rear. Cover it with a camo tarp and chain it to a tree. I think the hiding spot it is the most important. If you hide it good enough, the chaining part shouldn't matter. This is what we do and have never had a problem.
If your decoy doesnt have holes in it, your not letting him get close enough... J.H.
