Where are some good Crappie lakes??? My kids are wanting to start fishing

Everyone will tell you Weiss lake is the best and it probably is from what I've seen. Lake Martin is way overlooked for Crappie. I've seen a lot of slabs caught on Martin. In March and April try the north end of the lake around Wind Creek and all areas upstream of that. Almost every brush top you can find will hold crappie.

Almost every brush top you can find will hold crappie. i would have to say you are right.we camped their two years ago with a friend.his father has a cabin down there and he new all the honey holes.it is the first time in less than two hours that we limited out three people in a boat.

Logan Martin is good. Lot of "bank" fishing right now and they are catching a few. Slabs on LM get up to 4 lbs.

Man with all this talk about crappie fishing, the wife and i have decided to take our 3 year old to Lake Seminole this weekend and see if we can catch a couple.
