i wouldn't worry with trying to rebuild...is more of a pain.
back in the spring, i ordered new/cheap chinese made $20 carb off ebay and replaced in my neighbor's 3yo version of the same and it cranked on the 2nd pull. he used it all summer with no probs. took about 15mins to replace it...new gasket everything. just search for the model number on ebay...there will be lots. This is good advice. You can buy a new carb for about the same price as a rebuild kit, and don't have to fool with cleaning the carb.
