He is THE turkey hunter. Told me once he could tell a turkey killer from a turkey hunter just by looking at his knees. A killer has worn muddy knees.

a young lady was getting a book signed for her fiancé who she said was an avid turkey hunter of course. Mr. Kelly told her to marry a drug addict instead, he'd be a better husband. My wife said she wished she had gotten that advice 25 years ago.

I got a chance to share camp with the Colonel at Westervelt in 2010. Many bourbon drinks were had, stories told and no turkeys were killed!
