Looking to try handgun hunting this year. Any suggestions on powder and bullets? Gonna try it on deer, pigs and a bear if i get lucky. Thanks in advance.

I'm pushing the 240 grain Hornady XTP with 20 grains of H-110.
More powder doesn't seem to increase velocity...........
It's fairly accurate as far as handguns go.
Ruger Redhawk.

Thats pretty close to what i was thinking. 20-22 grains of H110 with a 250 grain cast lead "Keith" bullet.
if i get a chance i want to try something in the 300+ grains for bears, if my wrists can handle it.

Got a chance to load a few rounds for the new .44 mag this morning. Loaded the first five in the gun, touched the first one off, immediately unloaded the gun, and came to the realization... I've became a Wuss! Checked and rechecked load data to verify everything was right. Spot on. 240 grain LSWC with 22 grains of W296 and a CCI 350 primer 1.640" OAL. My loading manual says MAX @ 25.0 W296, 240 LSWC 1.535" OAL

It won't rear-up nearly as much when you're shooting at game. LMAO
