I propose, a usage fee. Anybody using the property for anything, hunting,fishing,camping,biking, or riding horses should all pay the same amount. This has been a hot topic on here lately.

Rut won't start there till at least Thanksgiving weekend. Last year it was the first week of Dec. The rut didn't start where til the first week of December?

If you can get away from the freakin horses! If I read the maps right the horse folks can ride to thru the center and all over The Sipsey area? The Bankhead website shows all the designated horse trails.A fellow on a horse can get to places it would take you hours to walk to.

I have always heard that the rut was going strong for the muzzleloader hunt and the rifle opener. It's tough hunting but have seen a few does just no bucks. I hunt hogs there a couple times a year but I will be there for the opener. Too many giants there not to hunt it during the rut.

My pops and i went last weekend he shot the biggest doe i think ive ever seen. Its beautiful up there. Ill totally hunt up there opening rut
