To use the Cahaba WMA range you have to have a hunting license or WMA hunt permit. No free use of the range unless you want to chance it.
Are the permits no longer free... It used to be a signed map...that you could print off the web or get at a few local gas stations... When did you have to start paying for the map?
The map permit it free, which you have to have to hunt game. Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but to use the range you need a current state hunting license or a WMA license. The map permit does not give you rights to the range.
