Would you support a law requiring people who joy ride on WMAs to have to purchase a WMA license? I would vote yes in a heart beat.

I have to pay to use the land why shouldn't they or anyone else who wants to use it for recreational purposes.

Would you pay for the privilege of driving onto the WMA to scout it to see if it was even a place you wanted to hunt? I would not.

Yes. And make them wear orange during hunting seasons. I ran into to many hikers in the forest not wearing any orange and most of the time wearing brown and white. Good combo for miss I.d.

No... We all pay for the use of the land every year...via taxes... I site my guns on WMA ranges... I shouldn't have to pay twice to use the land... Nobody likes it when they ride around but hey... That's public hunting....and public land... Wanna pay more...join a club...

If you hunt or fish you must buy a wma license. If you joyride,shoot,walk around naked and talk to rocks you pay nothing. My point is the people that pay nothing ruin a lot of hunts for the people who have to pay.

I vote Yes Yes. What Ridgestalker is talking about is only fair! Look as Skyline WMA side B. Come Oct.1 4 wheelers are everywhere. I bought a WMA permit last year JUST in case I wanted to go on WMA land that joins our club. I never went BUT had the proper permit IF I had wanted to go. Kids on 4 wheelers and ATV tear - up the rodes 2 times as bad as hunters yet they pay O dollars to ride on the same ground that hunters do. WHY should they not have to pay??? Its only 18 dollars.

My point is the people that pay nothing ruin a lot of hunts for the people who have to pay. I'm sure they do... How many lazy hunters walk and ride and come in late..leave early...hunt to close to ya... Hunters mess up other hunters a lot as well... Is right to make someone pay to track a bow kill onto a WMA if they hunt private land that border's the WMA... I wouldn't wanna pay to track a deer on land that my tax dollars already pay for... It may be the exception....but I don't believe that would be fair either... Same goes for all the bicycling threads... They don't pay chit for a tag tax to help pay for the roads...but them sob's sure don't mind using them and slowing traffic down to a damn crawl...an messing up my Friday night or cause me to be late to a game...

Anybody that uses WMAs, state lands, conservation areas, etc should pay for that use regardless of if they are hunting, hiking, horseback riding, etc..... I'm pretty sure Florida and Georgia already do this. I don't hunt public land so I'm not sure.

It used to be a signed map...that you could print off the web or get at a few local gas stations... When did you have to start paying for the map?
