It's bad enough that there has been very little rain on most of the plots since they were planted, but the damn turkeys have eat most of the seeds on several of the plots. I wish somebody would go up there and throw a net over the whole dang bunch and haul them some place else. If we get rain tomorrow night it might save some of them, but it won't save all of them. A lot of wasted money out there.

Timber. The seed was disc in, that's why you don't see the seed. Don't worry about the turkeys. We will thin them down this spring.

They gotta fatten up b4 next spring. Rather kill a gobbler than a deer anyday. I love deer hunting and hate turkey hunting. Things I hate I generally end up doing all the time, what the wife says anyways.

I have a friend with property in New Market and he's willing to let me have the sole hunting rights to 2 40's ... one on the side of a mountain and one in a field right next to a creek, both great deer hunting properties. Only stipulation is that I can NOT hunt turkeys. I retrieved my cameras last week and what did I find? A few does and hundreds of DANGED TURKEYS! So yeah, TURKEYS SUCK! at least until he lets me start hunting them wink

Timber. I hope you saw A LOT of turkeys lol. Seriously, they cleaned up the seed? We haven't had enough rain yet to really get them going good. Maybe today and tomorrow we will get a soaker!!!
