I bought (the wife) a Ruger Hawkeye Compact in .308 put a Meopta Meostar scope on it and I will take it hunting if she decides to sleep in. I wouldn't get rid of that thing for anything. I wouldn't say the recoil is too bad.. But I like to refer to it as "sassy" it does has some muzzle jump I guess being so short.
