For me, checking cams doesn't add any pressure to my deer. HUNTING adds pressure to my deer. I don't hunt them until I see what I need to see on the cameras.. While I don't check cameras year round, I do probably 8 months a year. When I am feeding and/or running cams, I may go into a place a couple of times a week to check the camera. And it ain't scent free in my hunting clothes being friggin quiet. It is with music blaring me setting a beer on the hood of the truck never cutting the truck off type of feeding. Now, I do the majority of it at night...so that might make a difference. Maybe because this is always how I have done so it don't bother them. My theory is that if you go in there trying to be quiet and all that crap you give them the sense that you are trying to "hunt them". I check camera's during season. It doesn't affect my deer's daylight movement.

Most of the time, I kill what I intend to kill.

I think they just change their patterns this time of year...every year. Period. You may get a bachelor group that will start showing back up during the daylight...Or you might not. Deer are just deer.


A couple times a week 8 months out of the year! Hmmmmm, so deer can tell the difference between your 2 times a week trips without a gun and your trips with one? Do you rattle the feed bucket when you are hunting? laugh
