Even if it is genetic, It should be looked at just like any other genetic abnormality.
Most of the time it's because of father issues. The identity of a chile is imparted to them through a father.

It's a choice, a behavior. Exactly. God would NEVER make someone that way. Goes against his teachings and would be a contradiction. I have a family member that is gay. God did not make him this way. He got into a profession dominated by fags and began to believe their BS after a few years. He used to be a ladies man in school. God made them that way. Yeah right.

Personally I just don't care if they legalize it or not. We have other and IMO vastly more important things to be concerned about in this country- ballooning national debt, career politicians, unsecured borders, nationalized healthcare, a joke of a president- you know, things that actually impact us all. I'm still waiting for someone to say how a gay couple actually effects them personally besides awkward conversations.
Nor do I believe that a gay person is condemned to hell simply for being gay- that's absurd IMO- something about for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God comes to mind. Final judgment is rendered by the man upstairs-we are simply speculating about matters we probably shouldn't be speculating on.
I also believe you are born that way- Rock Hudson was gay even though every hot woman in Hollywood wanted him- that defies logic.
And everyone has a gay cousin whether you know it or not!!!

Some of these replies are fascinating in how bigoted and stubborn they are. A man takes a huge step sharing his personal life about his daughter and people just joke or attack him saying it is father issues or choice.
Being gay is not a choice and they are all born that way. They do not choose to be attracted to the same sex that is just how it is.
You guys need to stop focusing so much on the archaic teachings of the Old Testament that was written by MEN and translated over thousands of years through different languages. Try focusing on what Jesus preached and that is to love each other for who they are. No one is forcing you to agree with it but you do not have to be filled with hatred.

Your saying the homo "gene" , since there would have to be one if they're born that way, must be lurking around in all of us? Just not expressing itself? I mean, just using your eye color example as an analogy. Just trying to understand, only had one course of genetics in college. Knowing queers can't pro create, it still seems nearly impossible to pass it on, except through bisexuals.
Personally, I think it's just a cop out for a sexual perversion. Last time I checked, sex was an act or behavior. I'll also stick with Gods definition of marriage and his view of homosexuality. Not judging, But I know what it says.
