What about the guy who drives his tractor down the road? Or a big piece of equipment? I see that a lot. Can't say I have ever had the urge to squirt piss on them or run them off the road. Im interested to hear what the take is on this...

Yea but we see it everyday. That little dork that works at his computer in a cubicle all day can't wait to get home to his computer again, can't wait for you to swing out wide to turn in at a farm road and runs by shooting a bird. Thing is I got somewhere to go too so if you get behind me on a piece of equipment don't expect me to pull over and let you by.

Common courtesy goes a long way. Seems to be very little of it these days.

Most tractors run a 6' to 8' wheel base which is a big difference than 6 inches.. We can't ease over on the side of the road to let people by, BUT we still find a way to do it. We don't feel like someone owes us something.. BIG BIG difference between Farm tractors and a Bicycle....

I don't see them running traffic lights and stop signs like I see the cyclist.

Exactly!! Guys on tractor are out their trying to make a living, BUT like DW said they still move over for you! I know LOTS of farmers and everyone of them try to quickly move over as soon as they know you are behind them, even though THEY dont have to! Hell even the county guys mowing the rode down over for you! But not the ass-hole cyclists! Its like they want you to have to wait! Thats why no one likes them! Please dont compare our county mowers and farmer to the crappy dushbag cycle riders! mad

Neither one bothers me. I understand we have to share the road. I jog on public roads I'm sure some people think I'm an asshat. Some of u scare me with all the threats and harm you wish on people for such the smallest, stupidest things.

A tractor getting hit by a car and a cyclist being hit by a car generally have totally different outcomes. Just sayin...

The two aren't even comparable in my book. I can't take a 150 hp or 40 hp tractor for that matter to a park or low traffic area and ride to get the job done. Cyclist choose where they ride and often it is the worst possible places because it is convenient.

I would bet if you ran over a cyclist you would be butchered in todays society too. I never heard a word out the folk I know killed when folks were hit on tractors because people were playing on radio's or cell phones. My dad was run over on a big tractor a few years back. Blew out a tire and broke a few wheel studs and totaled the van the dude was driving...playing on the radio. That would probably be a dead cyclist... They need to ride somewhere safer.

I have no issue when they are in areas that are safe and not high traffic. When they aren't, it is a different story. It is a bad situation for everyone.
