They were gobblin good Sunday in Dallas Co. I haven't had a chance to hunt since big boy season opened.

West Tuscaloosa County:
Opening day 5 different toms wearing it out from the roost, and 2 of them kept going on the ground.
Thursday morning, same place, one bird gobbled 3 times on the ground from 7:45 -8, nothing on the roost.
You just never know what they are going to do.

They are still not fired up at our place in Randolph County. Talked to one of the other hunters in our club and he didn't hear a peep yesterday.

Heard 4 different birds yesterday. Not much once they hit the ground. Went back to the same place today and heard nothing. Just not quite right yet, but hopefully they will be soon. Been to several different places Walker, Fayette, and Tuscaloosa and they just arent doing much yet. Hopefully soon though!

Lee County: Fortunate enough to have a four day weekend. Heard 15 Gobblers yesterday. Had one a 35 steps but could not close the deal. Heard 9 birds this morning. Hens are everywhere.

Hunted wed. thu. and fri. of last week in Monroe county. Myself and two other hunters did not hear a thing. Can anyone tell me when the turkeys usually start gobbling in that area? or is it different each year???

Probably heard 6 or 7 different birds this morning. All but 2 were off my property. Heard first gobble at 6:09. Left em gobbling sporadically at 8:30.
