I went to pattern my gun yesterday, after all of the pattern posts I felt compeled to see how I measured up. 1st shot great tight group. 2nd shot sounded just like a .22 a little smoke and my shot went about 10ft. Does anyone have any experience with this? If that would have been a turkey instead of a target I would be a special kind of pissed off!!!

never had one misfire...i would give them a call and let them know about it...might have been a batch of bad powder or something

I will! I have pictures of the shell and will post them when I figire out how. It did not open well and looks burned.

Better to learn that in a pattern session than dropping the hammer on an ol tom. That would really suck.

My dad won't shoot a Remington because of that same mishap;many years ago he had fooled with a turkey for a few days and finally got him close enough one morning and when he shot he said it was a big cloud of smoke and the shot rolled out of the barrel;I believe he would take a stick to hunt with before he put a Remington in his gun.I guess every now and then it's gonna happen,I've seen rifle shells snap and not shoot.
