I was ~14-15 hunting in a Swamp west coast of central Florida. My dad was putting in bid sewer pipes and cutting ditches to drain an area. I was sitting on a ~3-4ft high concrete manhole opening, at a "T" intersection. The side of the roads were grown up over head high. It was getting towards dust. I look down the road and see a leg ~75yrs away. No idea how I knew it was a leg, but I knew. I got my 35 cal 336 Marlin ready. If it was a buck it was dead.

Then it took a step out, I could see half of it. There were no antlers, but it was a strange looking deer. I was a little confused. It took a couple of more steps and had a very long tail. I didn't move a muscle. I was so damn scared I didn't know what to do. I was happy that it just walked across the road. I gave it a couple of mins, and I went to my dad. I walked, looked, walked, looked, holy crap was I nervous.
