I got some advice for ya on the lbl muzzleloader hunt don't ever put in for ml again. It is going to be wall to wall people the first morning hunt. Everybody puts in for it but what they don't realize is they usually put twice as many hunters in the ml zone as they do the rifle zones. If you ever went to skyline, oakmulgee, barbour, or choccolocco in the late 70's- early 80's that's about what that one area is gonna be like. If I remember right 8 is behind the wranglers camp out to the trace and down to jenny ridge, that area is probably hunted the most of any area bow hunting being so close to the cabins and the large amount of crop fields. Don't get me wrong though if I got drawed I would go you never know what will run over you with that kind of people in the woods. Also I always used to stay there from an hour before daylight to dark, take some lunch with you when everyone heads out for dinner I have had some real good luck. If you come out of the wranglers camp turn left then turn right and follow road it will dead head at river at some horse trails. It is about 2 miles the way the crow flys from there to the four lane and no roads in between, that would be a good place to start in my opinion. People will be comeing in off the highway and off the road you come in on pushing deer toward you. And this time of year up there I would be hunting the hunters rather than the rut cause it is headed down hill by then.
