I never said you couldn't find parts for the Savage and don't appreciate being called crazy. Simply stated that the 700 is used more than any other action for customs. The reality is, whether you want to acknowledge it or not, no other bolt gun on the planet has more aftermarket options.

Now to the original poster's question, $700-$900 will get you into the nicer rifles from both companies. No wrong answer here, choose the one that fits you best.
