I have been running cameras on the 200 acres at my house and this spot of my cousins about a mile away for about 6 years straight. This spring I started getting pictures of hens at the house for the first time. I went and pulled the card from my cousins today and had these on there as well. Unfortunately there havent been any poults at all. Our place is 75% hardwoods and 25% ag fields and surrounded by some great land as well. We've always wondered why we haven't had birds around. Hopefully I'll be able to hear a bird gobble on our place for the first time this spring.

Nice. Don't shoot him, let him have some fun this coming spring and spread some seed.

Oh unless there is a drastic change in population here, he gets a lifetime pass.

Sounds like my home place, mite see a turkey every 4 years or so, everyone that looks at our place says lying about not having turkeys because it's open fields, hardwoods and a nice creek. I don't understand it, I've planted chufa to try and pull em in but nothing works. I guess they just don't like the area

Yeah its been a mystery why they're not there. Wedowee creek runs right through it all. We stay out of the hardwoods all together except for deer season and checking the occasional camera.

We have 1200 acres leased that looks like it should be covered with turkeys. very small population. I have hopes tho...
