Anyone using a leupold vxr would like feedback on low light performance and how is the fire dot reticle

1.25x4 on an AR carbine is great, glass is very good!

The 4x12x50 vxr and 3.5x10x50 vx3 is the one I am looking at for a browning x bolt 308 just didn't know how the light would work at low light

The illuminated dot is perfect at last light. Cut it on it's softest setting that way you don't get back drowning as I call it.

I'm considering one for a dedicated woods gun. I use my Kimber Montana as a light handy short range woods gun. I have a Kahles 2-7 on it now but I would like to try the ILL reticle. I likely won't ever be hunting at elevation but the light weight is nice walking up the hills and hollows.

I have the 1.25-4 on a SCAR17 and love it.
