I just bought my granddad's hunting rifle back from a family friend and he has lost the clip for it. I checked gander mountain but they don't carry it ( or atleast the one in huntsville don't). Any info on where I can get one would be great.

If you don't find one for 742. You can use the one from the slide action 760 also. It don't have the bolt catch but it is same otherwise.

all I use in my 742 is the 7600 clip.

I use to have a 06 742 and had an extra clip. If you can't find one let me know and I will look through my hunting stuff and see if I still have it. You can have it if you pay the shipping. Coachg

I have two that may work. One is a 5 round 270. A friend gave it to me, and i thuought it would work with my 30.06 but it won't. I also have a 10 round 30.06 that won't work. I don't see anything wrong with them, but I don't know if they may be for a 742 or 7400. Mine is a 740. Anyway, you can have these if they will work for you. I'm in the Gadsden area.

pretty easy mag to find or should be . 25-06 , 270, 30-06 , 35 whelen use the same mag .
also , 308 , 243 , 7-08 use the same mag .
the mags for pumps the will fit the auto but will not stop the slide on the last shot .
